Overview

Getting your photos to us and receiving your polished, edited images back is a straightforward process. This guide will walk you through uploading your source files and downloading your finished photos directly within our platform.

Photo Uploading

You'll upload your photos directly through our web user interface, either from your local computer or from a connected service like Dropbox. Learn more about connecting Dropbox. It is the same process for your initial order upload or if you need to add additional photos later. Here's what to expect during the upload process:

Step 1: Select Your Photos

You can bring files into your order in one of two ways:

  • Local Files — Choose images stored on your computer and upload them directly.

  • Import from Dropbox — Pull images from your company’s authorized Dropbox account. Dropbox access must be enabled in your Photo Editing settings.

Note: For each order, you must choose one import method. Local and Dropbox files cannot be mixed within the same submission. However, you may add additional photos using a different method if necessary.

File Types and Maximum Sizes

Our system supports most common Raw and Compressed file types. For more detailed specifications about what is allowed, please read our supported file types guide. There is currently a maximum upload size of 100MB per file.

Step 2: Check Your Groupings!

After you select your files, the system analyzes the metadata and performs an initial Automatic grouping of bracketed sets. This grouping is designed to:

  • Validate and refine similar files - Our AI Editing model will use the defined groups and attempt to merge the files when there is a set of brackets. Accurate groups mean accurate outputs. If there is an inaccuracy, you may adjust the groupings in the photo editing upload UI.

  • Assist with file management — Grouping helps you confirm that all expected files are present. You can click any group to remove individual images or entire sets if needed.

  • Improve pricing — By identifying bracket sets up front, we can estimate the number of delivered photos more accurately and provide a clearer cost estimate.

  • For more information view our article How does AI Photo Grouping work?

What do I do if photo groups are not correct?

Things happen and the system isn't always perfect during automatic grouping. You have two options other than Automatic, which allow you to correct the groups prior to submission:

  1. Fixed Groups - This allows you to select a set number of photos per group. The UI will re-process the groups to match selected value.

  2. Manual Group Corrections - Clicking on a group in the gallery will allow you to Modify Groupings using the Group Management tools that appear on the right side of the screen. From here you can remove files, split groups, and move files between groups.

Important: The groups shown during order creation are used to process your photos during the editing process. Bad grouping will negatively impact the finished images. It is important to review your groups.

Step 3: Submit Your Order to Initiate Photo Upload

Once you've confirmed your groups, click Continue to navigate to the AI Editing Order Summary Screen and Submit your Order. At that point, the upload will begin.

Important Note: If uploading from your local computer, it is critically important that you do not close your browser or move the files you've selected for upload once the process has begun. Doing either of these things will cause the upload to fail. Dropbox uploads do not have this same limitation.

Here are a few details about the upload process:

  • Sidebar and Order History Notice: Once Uploading starts, you'll see an indicator in the main navigation sidebar letting you know that the uploading process is underway. As well, the Photo Edit column in Order History will show an "Uploading" status.

  • Background Processing: You're not tied down while your photos upload! You can start a new photo editing order or continue working on other tasks within the platform; the upload will continue in the background.

  • Upload Status Details: If you want to see the status of the photo editing file upload, click on the order and visit the Photo Editing Order Details page. There you will see the status of the upload, including how many files have been uploaded and how many remain.

Photo Downloading

The following steps cover how to manually download photos from your order. We also provide the ability for our system to automatically deliver finished photos to a Dropbox folder. Read about Automatic File Delivery to Dropbox.

For manual export, once your finished files have been delivered and are present in the "Finished Photos" section of your order details, downloading them is quick and easy. Here's how to download your completed photos:

  1. Navigate to the Order Details page for your completed order.

  2. Click the Download button in the upper right corner.

  3. A menu will appear from the right, and you'll see a Photo Editing section with two options: Print version and Web Version.

  4. Check the checkbox next to one or both of these options based on your needs. You can also include other products from your order, such as your floor plan, in the download.

  5. Click Download. Our system will begin preparing your files.

  6. A zip file containing your images will then be downloaded to your device.

  7. Inside the zip file, you'll find a photo editing folder containing your images in the sizes you selected (Print, Web, or both).

  8. Extract your files for use with your client(s)!
