What is VAT?

A value-added tax (VAT) is a consumption tax levied on the value added at each stage of a product's production and distribution. It is an indirect tax — the end consumer ultimately bears the cost, but it is collected and remitted by businesses along the supply chain.

How is VAT Applied to CubiCasa Orders?

All prices on CubiCasa are shown on a 0% VAT basis. Whether VAT is added to your invoice depends on your location:

Outside the EU

Never charged.

Within the EU (excluding Finland)

Not charged if you provide a valid VAT ID. Charged at your country's standard rate if you do not have a valid VAT ID.

Finland

Always charged at 25.5%, regardless of VAT ID status.

Do I Need a VAT Number to Create an Account?

For most countries, a VAT number is not required to use CubiCasa. However, the following countries are restricted to business use (B2B) only, and a valid VAT number is required to create an account:

  • United Kingdom

  • Chile

  • Ecuador

  • United Arab Emirates

  • Switzerland

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Dominican Republic

  • South Korea

  • India

If you are based in one of the countries listed above, you must have a valid VAT number to register and use CubiCasa.
