The Total area is used to define the cost of an order. We define it based on what has been drawn, which usually match the "built" structure of the property. For example a patio will count whereas a lawn with trees will not.

Definition

  • We don't take into account if a space should be included or excluded.

  • All spaces are accounted for, to the exception of Outdoor, Garden, Basketball Court, Tennis Court, Yard, Skylights and Open To Below.

  • All walls (internal AND external) are also included in the calculation: this can explain a difference between what we print on your floor plan, which excludes external walls unless you ordered GLA.

Specific exceptions

  • We also exclude swimming pools and hot tubs as they are usually superposing a terrace, a deck or a patio and their area would be counted twice.
