Display the compass on your plan

Written by Aline Mezzabarba

You can display a compass on your floor plan to indicate true north and the orientation of a property. This feature is available on Plus Floor Plans only.

Prerequisite

You need to have the orientation either by capturing it while scanning or by editing the value with QuickEdit.

How to display the compass

  1. Log in to our web portal

  2. Click on Styling in the menu on the left

  3. Click on Create Style, or click on the three dots (⋯) > View to edit an existing style

  4. Scroll to the bottom and check the box Add compass to the floor plan

Calibrate Your Device Compass

For the most accurate compass direction on your floor plan, we recommend calibrating your device's compass before scanning.

Android

Follow the steps in the Google Maps calibration guide or the How-To Geek guide for Android devices.

💡 The calibration process involves moving your phone in a figure-8 motion. You may need to repeat this 10–20 times for best results.

Apple (iOS)

Follow the steps in the iOS compass calibration guide to improve location accuracy on your iPhone or iPad.
